What about subway lockers — T-Locker?

Seoul Metro's T-Locker lockers sit in about 270 subway stations, roughly 5,500 lockers in all, and you book, pay and retrieve through the T-Locker app. According to a March 2025 Seoul city notice, weekday prices are ₩2,200 for the first 4 hours in a small locker, ₩3,300 medium and ₩4,400 large, with ₩500, ₩800 and ₩1,000 per extra hour. That makes it the cheapest option if you only need a few hours between checkout and your flight. We couldn't confirm an English mode in the app, so expect Korean menus.

What about app-based storage services?

Bounce has an English booking site with 240+ storage spots around Seoul. Its "from ₩449 a day" is a headline minimum; the central listings we checked, at Seoul Station and Yongsan, showed ₩5,200 a day, and Hongdae spots started from ₩2,900. LIT (Life is Travel) prices by bag size: ₩4,500 for a backpack, ₩6,000 for a suitcase up to 27 inches and ₩8,000 for anything larger, with loss and damage cover up to ₩500,000, per LIT's own site. Both are easier to book in English than T-Locker.

What is T-Luggage — storage plus delivery?

T-Luggage is Seoul Metro's staffed service, with counters at stations including Seoul Station, Hongdae, Myeongdong, Jamsil and Gimpo Airport. Storage is priced by bag size, from about ₩3,000 for a small bag up to roughly ₩8,000–9,000 for an extra-large one, for the first 4 hours on weekdays. Delivery between stations, or to Incheon Airport, runs about ₩14,000–31,000 depending on the route. The operator's site and the city's March 2025 notice differ on hours (9:00–21:00 versus 10:00–22:00) and on some prices, so confirm the current numbers when you book.

What about Incheon Airport's own storage?

Hanjin Express runs the airport's baggage storage counters in Terminals 1 and 2. Incheon's own notice, dated October 2024, lists most counters as open 07:00–21:00 or 07:00–22:00, with one Terminal 2 counter (3rd floor, east side) open 24 hours. The same notice says Hanjin can also take a bag from Hongik University Station (Hongdae) to its Incheon counter the same day. Hours vary by counter, so check before you rely on a late or early pickup.

When you've genuinely overpacked, how does shipping home with Korea Post EMS work?

If you've bought more than your suitcase can hold, EMS through Korea Post is worth pricing out before you resign yourself to an airline's excess baggage fee. EMS is priced by destination zone and weight, with fuel and other surcharges on top, and it isn't cheap for heavy boxes: one 2026 explainer cites about ₩100,000 for 5 kg to the US or Canada. The most reliable move is to run your box through Korea Post's online rate calculator (ems.epost.go.kr) and set the result beside your airline's excess baggage charge, which varies a lot by carrier. Post office staff are generally helpful walking first-timers through the process. Declare the contents honestly on the customs form, since an inaccurate declaration is what triggers unexpected duties on the receiving end, and note that EMS doesn't take lithium batteries or battery-containing devices.

If there's no full post office near where you're staying, look for a "postal agency" (우편취급소) instead — think of it as a mini post office. It only handles mail, not banking or other post office services, but it takes international mail and EMS shipments the same as a regular post office does.

What this means if you're packing up to leave

• For a few hours between checkout and your flight, T-Locker is the cheapest option, at roughly ₩2,200–4,400 for the first 4 hours.
• For an easier English experience, use Bounce or LIT, and check the per-day price at the exact spot.
• If your bags are over the airline limit, get the EMS quote and the airline's excess fee side by side before you pay either one.
